Won at Penn National Jan 25th. Below are photos of her first race at PARX and her winning photo at Penn National. Unfortunately the tracks are not writing longer races, and when they do they do not fill and are canceled. This horse loves to run and can do so without tiring, so we made the decision to sell her for steeplechase as they have longer races.
Currently in training for steeple chase at Fairhill with Sandra Webb.

Lillehammer - deceased
This stakes placed steeple chase mare came off the track December 2014 sore but reportedly sound and subsequently had three foals. I tried to do the best for this horse by not selling her for steeple chase breeding due to her history of difficult pregnancies , but rehoming her instead for a second career. She was always pasture sound at 4 different facilities including my own witnessed by too many people to count including some vets. I had wanted to give her a career instead of turning her out with my retirees and certainly did not want to subject her to breeding. So- a friend who deals in OTTBs found her what we thought would be the perfect home and she was given to her. The new owner was told not to breed her and her TB papers were not transferred for this reason. Prior to rehoming she was at another facility so the colt could be weaned with another colt and Lille was picked up there. The contract had a return to owner clause as although pasture sound, you never know once they are in training if that will continue. Apparently she had a rough trip to NC and was reportedly lame coming off the trailer and we were all accused of dumping a knowingly lame horse. Upon following up with the new owner, Kasey D. texted that she wanted to keep her for light riding and possibly breed her, so she was then told of all of the issues including the extreme edema which posed a founder risk and definitely not to breed. She ignored this and bred her, and then put her down due to "soundness issues" after she had a foal out of her and never once notified me prior to doing so. Let this be a lesson to anyone rehoming. You are certainly welcome to share as this person is trying to get another horse via Facebook. |
