Oct 2 to be judged by Bradley Caine

We will be offering another jumper series, but more shows this year. Add back classes will again be included in each division. End of series coolers will be awarded to the Champion in each division (same horse/rider/division combo) and saddle pad for each Reserve Champion. A minimum number of classes will be required to be eligible for the end of series prizes. Jumper divisions will be held in the mornings.

The hunter series will coincide with the jumper series in the afternoon. End of series prizes will be awarded to each division (same horse/rider combo) accumulating the highest number of points. One grand prize will be awarded for the highest point winner --a day at the salon to include hair, massage, pedicure and manicure at Salon Herberto in Centreville, MD.

Rules for the Western Discipline Rail – This is not a game or fault and out class. Final judging shall be on the basis of the best overall disciplined rail performance. To be judged on performance and manners. The class routine shall be to perform work on the rail, and must include at least four (4) of the following: A collected or extended walk, jog (or lope); starting into a jog (or lope) from a halt; side pass right and/or left; turn on the forehand and/or hindquarter; dismount and/or mount from either side; stand quietly for ten seconds; Judge may ask for additional safe work

Lesson Information

 

Breezy Run offers a variety of lesson opportunities:

Resident instructor, Lauryn, accepts children or adults on their own horse or one provided by the farm. She teaches trail riding, flat and jumping and is CHA certified. Fees by single lesson or package. Give her a call: 410-570-2596

H/J trainer Bradley Caine available on site by appointment. Contact phone number: 443-373-1098. Bradley was originally based out of her family's Winter Place Farm in Salisbury, MD. There, she studied under and was coached by some of the industry's greatest horsemen and trainers such as Ronnie Beard, Nelson Pessoa, and George Morris. She and the team at Winter Place Farm showed many of the country's top hunters and jumpers to wins and championships at all of the major horse shows in the nation such as Devon, Washington International, and Harrisburg as well as many national championships. Her success ranged from winning in the pony hunter division on her pony, Checkmate, to producing Olympic caliber horses such as "Jet Run" and "Southside" (ridden by Robert Ridland in the Montreal Olympics). Bradley now devotes her time to traveling and giving clinics/lessons all over the East Coast. She still enjoys helping aspiring riders to better themselves, both at home and at horse shows. She is still coaching both at local and rated shows and traveling to Florida for the show circuite every year.

Kelly McGinn is a gifted FEI Dressage rider, trainer and coach. She has earned her United States Dressage Federation Bronze and Silver Medals, numerous year end awards and championships at the National level. Although her commitment to the sport of dressage has served Kelly well she continues to strive toward her goals to compete at CDI (International) level competitions and train and compete in Europe.She enjoys teaching riders of all levels and abilities.

She believes that every horse and rider, no matter what their discipline, can benefit from Dressage. She is always positive, patient and enthusiastic, the key ingredients for success. Kelly also actively helps the local pony club with their dressage, she wants youngsters to see how exciting dressage can be when done correctly.

Anne Thibo now available for lessons/training-will travel locally

Anne was born in Luxembourg, the second smallest country in the World. She started her riding passion at age 6 in Switzerland, with vaulting and jumping. In order to expand her riding knowledge and practice her languages, she travelled all over Germany and France and learnt various riding disciplines, styles and techniques. She learned dressage under some reputable trainers, such as Jo Putz, Asst to the late Harry Boldt, Olympian in Germany. Jochen Hippenstiel,

now Head Trainer of Temple Lipizzans, IL, Gasty Chelius, Asst to Klaus Balkenhol, German Olympian and Pierre Cousyn from the French Riding Academy in Saumur. On her dutch warmblood she competedin Europe up to Prix St. Georg.
After pursuing a Hotel Management career in France, California, Virginia and Florida, she moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to continue her dressage passion with Kelley Corrigan and Klaus Schengber. Currently she is training her 7 yr old Oldenburg at second level and is hoping to move him up to the FEI level over the next few years. Down to earth, fun and very patient, she does not discriminate against any level, age or breed. Come see for yourself!!

HAUL-IN ARENA FEES-$15.00 per ride or $160 per month for unlimited one horse use due at the beginning of the month. A copy of current Coggins and a riding release are required along with proper attire (riding helmet mandatory). Call in advance.
